From 2005 – 2009, there
were an average of 3,533 fatal drowning’s annually in the United States.
Natalie Wood is one of those listed as drowning. The Actress, Model, and Mother
of two daughter’s the woman from San Francisco, California U.S. On November 29,
1981. (The drowning of Natalie Wood) She drowned during a boating trip. Since
the Circumstances of her death remains controversial.
1.How did Natalie Wood
drowned?
2.Did her Husband
(Robert Wagner) killed her?
3.Was it on purpose?
Natalie Wood a TV Star,
had everything she wanted in life. The woman who had a career when she was a
little girl. At age 16, Wood began filming one of her most famous films. She
earned an Academy Award nomination for her work in 1955. A floating body on the
water, identifying as a 5”0”, brown eyes, small petite woman, and dark brown
hair. Natalie’s boat trip with her husband Robert Wagner ended up founding the
actress dead the next morning. Today, it remains shocking.
Natalie was very smart,
kind, and beautiful, but she was the most outgoing, straight forward and loving
person. She was talented and loved her life. Director Joseph L. Mankiewcz, Said
that “In all my years in the business, I never seen a smarter Muppet. On the
films “The Ghost and Mrs. Moir” Natalie Wood ran to the set as fast as she
could after the teacher let her go (Dailymail, 2015). As a
child actress, Wood received media attention.
Natalie was a hard
working woman and full of life. But, did she really her herself to the internal
edge? Was it herself or someone else on the boat? In the middle of the night in
California Island, Natalie Wood wanted to fix the boat her body was found dead,
and ended up suspicious.
On the night of
November 29, 1981 Natalie, Robert Wagner (husband), and her brainstorm Co-star
Christopher Walken took a trip to California Catalina Island on their boat
Splendour. Everyone on the boat had a few drinks (Dailymail, 2015). Wagner
thought Wood and Walken seemed to close, then Wagner broke a bottle during a
fit of anger over their friendship, after Wagner and Wood argued (Dailymail,
2015).
Later that evening
Wood’s body was found the next morning floating in the water of Catalina beside
Splendour (their boat). Her death was presented as an accidental drowning, as
following that Wood fell in the water after securing the boat (Dailymail, 2015).
As few wonder this death, because Wood was very afraid of the water. Did she
really drown? Was it Wagner that did it?
To Natalie’s loved
ones, it’s unthinkable that the, actress, mother, wife, was found floating.
Natalie’s Wood sister, Lana Wood said “Natalie was so scared of water that she
would never tried to get into a dinghy voluntarily before she drowned” she also
said “ It gave Natalie a great fear (after one of her films). She hated the
water, she wouldn’t even go into her own pool at her home” , which her drowning was a mystery (Dailymail,
2015). Sadly, Natalie Wood death remains unthinkable.
The first conspiracy
theory proposes that Natalie went outside to fix the dingy from hitting the
boat she was in that night. Later that evening, her husband was unable to find
her. Her death was identified as an accidental drowning (Dailymail, 2015).
Before the incident of her death, Wagner and Wood had an argument that night of
anger over his relationship with Walken, Natalie’s Brainstorm Co-Star. However,
no one knows what happened to Wood that night. The three actors were drinking
heavily that Wagner broke a bottle while they had the argument. Later
authorities indicated that Wagner was not an official suspect. Wood’s death
case was changed to an “accident” (Dailymail, 2015).
The second conspiracy suggests
that Wagner was the blame of her death. In previous shows Wood was in she had
an accident, that she was afraid of water and didn’t know how to swim. Both
Wood and Wagner were intoxicated that night of her death. Dennis Davern, the Skipper of the yacht said he knows what
happened that night. He said Wagner shoved her away and went overboard, Wagner
then said to leave her alone as teaching her a lesson. The argument was known
as an affair with the actor Walken. Investigators said Robert Wagner had
declined for an interview for the latest inquiry . Investigators found bruises
on her but don’t know where she got them from.
The last conspiracy theory was if her death was on purpose. Through years of gathering evidence and witnesses, investigators know that the last person she was with the night of her death was Robert Wagner (Husband). Unfortunately, Wagner declined for an interview with investigators. The evidence that he knows would be helpful for the case of her death, the truth will remain silent.
Why does Robert Wagner remain the
prime person in the death of Natalie Wood? Because, Wagner had an argument with
Wood the night before her drowning which Wagner and everyone knew she was
afraid of water (Biography, 2015). Which it brings back
to, why Wood would fix the dingy hitting the boat when she was afraid and
didn’t know how to swim. That night both were drinking and on vacation everyone
knew they were together that night. One version of the various stories was told
that “Natalie drowned because she was trying to fix the boat; she couldn’t swim
so she drowned to death. Then, because she fell in the water at night and
drowned (Biography, 2015). When questioned by investigators about her death,
Wagner didn’t want to answer.
Fast
forward to the day she died November 29, 1981. Was found drowned near the boat.
The three actors were heavily drinking. The same night there were arguments.
Her body was then discovered the next morning 60-foot away from the yacht Splendor
(Biography, 2015). Wagner, denies being involved in her death and has never
been charged.
A survey of twenty people
revealed 90% agree that most likely scenario is Natalie was drowned because she
was fixing the dingy that night. Having no proof or footage of that night.
Wagner can’t be charged to her death. Natalie’s case continues to be open for
investigation.
1. Was Natalie Wood murdered by her
husband Robert Wagner?
2. Did she drowned because she was fixing
the boat at night?
3. Did Natalie leave to escape from her
husband after the argument?
Even today, twenty five
years after the beautiful, pretty, actress from San Francisco drowned, the unsolved mystery of her death
continues to baffle family, friends, and investigators. However, it’s likely
Robert Wagner knows the key to solving the case of Natalie Wood.
